Agile Manifesto & Alliance
As mentioned on other pages of this site I have been very active in the DSDM Consortium for years. First it was as an asssessor, later in international projects for the Consortium and later I became a board member and was on I was involved in international roll outs of new consortia.
That part of my role in the DSDM Consortium brought me in February 2001 in Salt Lake City. I met Dane Falkner (Surgeworks, www.surgeworks.com) a year before in Manchester, UK (Old Trafford) at a DSDM-conference and he adopted DSDM for his company as the way of working in projects. He invited me to join a small conference with specialists and authors of other similar methods. At the end of 2 days the word Agile was “invented” in relation to what we share and the Agile Manifesto represented and still represents that in 4 ferm statements and underlying principles.
Just before the 10-year anniverary in august 2012, Salt Lake City I was interviewed multiple times. In most interviews I did get the question if I would change anything about the Manifesto at the moment. I think the Manifesto still stands and the only thing I would change at the moment is a small replacement. I would replace the word software by solution….. I am still proud of all this and the part I had in this! Check for more info www.agilemanifesto.org.
